HGPCA pre-1966 Grand Prix
The Historic Grand Prix Car Association is a wonderful custodian of racing for Grand Prix cars from the 1930s right through to 1965, and the end of the 1.5-litre F1 formula. The races at Silverstone are open to cars spanning over 30 years, and it is traditionally the rear-engined cars from Brabham, Cooper and Lotus that set the pace.
However, some of the pre-war cars are remarkably quick, notably the strong ERA contingent, and so HGPCA races are a great chance to see more than 30 years of motor racing development, interrupted by the Second World War.
